Benelli India has unveiled its cruiser type motorbike earlier this month and now, they've launched its first cruiser based motorcycle in our country named 502C starting from Rs 4.98 lakhs ex showroom India. This model costs Rs 29,000 more than the Leoncino model. This cruiser slightly gives us the feel of Ducati's Diavel. The manufacturer calls this machine as the ultimate urban cruiser.
It is powered by a 500cc, liquid cooled, DOHC motor which spits out 47.5PS of power at 8500rpm and 46Nm of torque at 6000rpm. The engine is mated with a 6 speed transmission system. It is the same engine used in other models like Leoncino and TRK 502. It offers us a massive 21litre fuel tank for those long stretch and rides.
Engine and other chassis components are fitted in a trellis frame where the front end have a beefy 41mm USDs where the rear one is linked with a monoshock. Anchoring jobs are done by the 280mm dual petal discs at the front where the rear one is a 240mm disc in which the dual channel ABS is a standard one. The seat height comes with 750mm and a wheel base of 2240mm which gives the motorbike a aggressive cruiser look and this machine rolls with the help of Pirelli Angel GT rubbers.
In terms of styling, it gets a LED headlamp with integrated DRLs which looks stunning and also the simple and good looking rear end. License plate is mounted on the rear mud guard and the double barrel exhaust gives the motorbike a fresh look. It gets a fully digital instrument cluster displaying various details. You can able to ride this motorbike in a relaxed position which is comfortable for long rides only if you are going solo because, the pillion seat looks short and there's no grab rails.
