Few days before, we've seen that the Bengaluru based Electric Vehicle startup company named Simple Energy has planned to launch its first model Simple One on August 15. Click here to know more about. Now, new interesting details were revealed. This scooter is going to come with a 30 liters under seat storage compartment which is going to be the largest one in its segment. This also makes us believe strongly that the battery will be present below the floor board.
The manufacturer is also about to launch their fast charging network known as simple loop in which the scooter is capable of riding up to 2.5km by charging it for a minute. Its very much interesting to hear those information but only after its launch, we can experience it. They also have a plan of implementing the 300 of these fast charging systems throughout our country which is also capable of charging all kind of electric scooters. It good to hear these kind of offerings from the manufacturer.
The only thing we have to worry about the EVs is the range of coverage per single charge. This scooter is claimed to cover a range of 240km in eco mode. The top speed is about 100kmph and this scooter is capable of accelerating from 0-50kmph in 3.6 seconds. As I said in my previous posts, its very much good to hear about the emerge of more EV companies. But what I'm trying to say is, without a proper charging setups in between a regular interval of distance out there in freeways, this EV platform's development will become a question mark. For daily commuting inside a city and for short rides, EVs will suit very much. But when it comes down for a highway or long rides, charging stations plays a major role. Imagine you have parked your EV in a charging station which is present near a hotel. After refreshing about 20 minutes, you'll comeback to take your partial or fully charged vehicle. In our country, these charging stations are still in a developing stage which questions the highway or long distance travel in a EV. Let's see. This Independence day is going to be filled with the launch of two EVs which created much hype among the customers.
