Aprilia unveiled its Tuareg 660 off-roader

Currently, Aprilia sells its products like the RS 660 and Tuono 660 which are really high-performance oriented sports machines, and now, they've announced their new model called the Tuareg 660, which will be an adventure motorcycle with off-roading capabilities. It looks like the manufacturer will launch this new machine in the international markets at this year end or in yearly 22. There is also a chance for the manufacturer to release this model in our country but we have to wait for sometime as they were working on other two models named RS 660 and Tuono 660 to launch in our market.

Tuareg 660 off-roader

In look wise, this machine is a perfect off-roader and so how it performs. The engine is borrowed from the RS 660 and tuned down to produce 80hp of power and 70Nm of torque where the RS 660 produces 100hp and 67Nm of torque. This detuned version helps in increasing the torque for better feel and feedback for off-roading in the lower RPM bands.

This machine weighs 187kg and have a massive 18 liter fuel tank which is used to cover those extra miles in mud as well as in dust. It rolls with the help of spoke rims of 21 inch at the front and 18 inch at the rear with multipurpose rubbers. In addition to that, it gets a 240mm of suspension travel for doing those sliding and jumping. Anchoring jobs are done by the twin front discs and a single rear disc. Other chassis components are fitted in the trellis frame which gives the motorbike a better handling characteristics. What I love is the retro color scheme which gives the motorbike a series off-road enduro look. It also gets a differently looking LED headlamp with integrated DRL, a tall windscreen and the knuckle guards which looks purposeful. The flat single seat setup and the upswept exhaust just looks perfect which is capable of doing heavy off-roading. Another thing which impressed me is the overall look of the motorbike which is retroish.

On the other hand, it contains bash plates which is very much necessary. Along with that, it comes with TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and 4 riding modes. It also got the option of switchable ABS which is very much essential for off-roading. It features Aprilia Performance Ride control (APRC), traction control and cruise control. As we now have the look of the vehicle, soon we expect to get the full specs followed by its launch this year. We can expect this machine in our country later after its launch by globally.
