A Pune based automations solution company, Patil Automation (PAPL), has entered the electric two-wheeler segment with the launch of their products under the Evtric Motors brand. Their first two products were named as Axis and Ride which comes under slow speed category.
Both the scooters shares the battery and the powertrain. Only difference is their appearance, price and colors. These scooters rolls with the help of 250W motor linked to a 48v battery which takes 3.5 hours for charging from 0-80%. On full charge, these scooters rolls about 75 kilometers at a top speed of 25kmph. It has got a detachable battery option where the user can detach the battery from the vehicle to carry it to their home for charging purposes. The manufacturer also have the idea of bringing the battery swapping facility in future.
Both the models are equipped with LED headlamps, side stand sensor and reverse park assist function. At front, it gets a telescopic suspension and a hydraulic adjustable suspension at the rear. The anchoring jobs are done by disc and drum at the front and rear on both the models and gets a fully digital instrument console displaying various information. Both the model gets 12inch tubeless tyre with 190mm as ground clearance. The company also offers a 2 years battery warranty.
Now, these two scooters will be sold across 7 cities including Delhi, Gurgaon, Pune, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Tirupati, and Hyderabad. The sales will be extended throughout the capital cities in the next 6 months including Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra etc.. This company also have the idea of entering into motorcycle, bicycle and three wheeler segments. Evtric Axis and Ride were priced at Rs 64,994 and Rs 67,996 respectively.
