Recently, one of the successive manufacturer in India the Hero Motocorp have announced the launch of brand new Glamour Xtec in our market. Comparing to the old Glamour, new features were added to make heavy competition in 125cc segment. The latest model includes handful of features which favors the rider both in daily commuting as well as in highway riding.
In look wise, it shares most of the components with its previous model. The fuel tank appears to be slightly beefy and i guess the riding posture will be upright. The latest model have the inclusion of fully digital instrument cluster which contains tachometer, gear position indicator, real time mileage indicator. In addition to that it have Bluetooth connectivity, call incoming alert, turn by turn navigation system and other features like USB charging port and a LED headlamp. Its good to see that Hero have implemented the safety features like side stand engine cut off and a bank angle sensor otherwise known as roll over sensor which helps in cutting off the ignition incase of any accidents.
Other than that, it also have decent mechanical specs. The power source of the motorbike is a 124.7cc, air cooled fuel injected motor which churns out 10.7 BHP at 7500 RPM and 10.4 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM with a 5 speed gearbox. Like all other Hero motorbikes it also have i3s and autosail and the manufacturer offers this motorbike in two variants such as drum and disc. The drum variant costs us about ₹82,000 and the disc variant about ₹86,500 Ex showroom Chennai. This motorbike suits well for the daily commuting as well as for short highway rides.
