Few days before, a YouTube channel released the video of two development mules and much talks raised wide over the internet that it could be a YZF R25 or maybe a next generation R3. But new spy shots tells that probably it must be a next generation R15. It is very much expected that this new spied model will be released this year end or in early 22.
First thing which grabbed my attention is the Upside Down forks. In the first spy video, many of us failed to notice the presence of USD. One thing we have to keep in mind is, if there's going to be USDs, surely next gen will loot up more amount of money from our pockets. This version took inspiration from the recently launched R7 and so some of the parts here look like the R7. This new design covers the perimeter frame and I think Yamaha will continue to use this DetlaBox frame which results in good handling.
Another thing which looks different here is the clip-ons. Now, it's lowered and looks wider. The side panels and the rear end moreover looks like the R7 and the pillion footrest now comes with the cast material. In both the spy shots, there are no LED turn indicators and the windscreen looks now taller compared to the present version and sweeps backward.
It is expected that the same 155cc motor which spits out 18.6 PS of power will be used but I think, this new version's engine will be tuned up to produce more power than the current version. Other expectation were the addition of the new and revised instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, charging port and I wish the manufacturer to offer a better crashguards which will be helping the motorbike incase of any accidents.
