Few months before, Bajaj registered a trademark for the name Caliber and it was accepted. From 1998 to 2006, the alliance between the two manufacturers Kawasaki-Bajaj has kept a motorbike in production named Caliber which is marketed by the manufacturer as Hoodibaba became famous. We all know, the price of the motorbikes are increasing day by day where the entry level commuter motorbikes are priced high as higher capacity motorbikes of those days. Bajaj manufactured and sold the Discover 125 which is the only bike from the manufacturer in 125cc segment. After that, they've launched the Pulsar 135LS. But, they've discontinued as the sales was not good as expected. In 110cc segment, only CT and Platina is present. In 125cc category, it have standard Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 125NS. Basically, NS125 and standard variant of the Pulsar125 shares the same engine. Now, it is very much expected that this upcoming Caliber also contain a 125cc engine in it.
Back then in 2003, Bajaj trademarked the Caliber 115 as Hoodibaba which was valid up to 2013. In my point of view, though Bajaj have a entry level commuter bike in 110cc and a 125cc sports bike, i they're trying to create a new motorbike containing 125cc engine of a Pulsar and the body work aimed to look like a entry level commuter so that it can attract more customers. Mainly this motorbike is expected to give a decent amount of performance and mileage and very much suits for daily commuting purpose. If Bajaj keeps all these things in mind and re-launch this bike with a aggressive and attractive pricing, surely i would say, it'll attract more customers. Who knows...? There are also chances for the manufacturer to put in the already existing 110cc engine in it. This motorbike had a separate fan base at 2003 itself. So, if this motorbike is re-launched with the above mentioned parameters, surely it'll stand as a heavy competition for its other rivals like Shine, Splendor, Radeon etc...
