The Japanese manufacturer has now now launched the 2022 version of the Ninja 650 starting at Rs.6,61,000 ex-showroom. This next version is priced at Rs.7000 more than that of the previous version which is available on the price tag of Rs.6.54 lakh. The new model only features a addition of new color schemes. Other than that, everything remains same as the previous model.
The manufacturer now offers two new color schemes. First one is the lime green in which the lower part of the fairing is in white color where other parts of the fairing is in black color. The tank, front fender and front end of the motorbike features the traditional Kawasaki green. The fairing now comes with the red stripes which also looks cool. On the other hand, pear robotic white scheme is offered in which the lower part of the fairings in this scheme also comes with the same white color. The front end and other parts of the fairings is blackened where the front fender and some side bodyworks comes with the white color. For me, the scheme with the traditional Kawasaki green looks astonishing.
Other than the new color schemes, no changes were done in which the bike tends to continue with a 649cc, liquid cooled, parallel twin, DOHC motor which spits out 68PS of power at 8,000rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 6,700rpm. I've already made a post on the benefits of a parallel twin motor which makes a aggressive power output and sound. Click here to know more about that. This motor is shared with its naked twin Z650 and synced to a 6 speed transmission system.
Other than that, it has got a slipper clutch, telescopic forks at the front and a adjustable monoshock at the rear. This motorbike comes with the dual channel ABS as standard and rolls with the help of Dunlop rubbers. TFT instrument with Bluetooth connectivity is also offered in which the number of instrument functions can be accessed. The exhaust is present on the lower side not in the underbelly and makes me think about leaning more at corners while riding at tracks.
