As we see, this month is filled with the launch of new motorbikes. Today, Kawasaki has launched its new Z650 and we're yet to witness the launch of Honda's new ADV. The upcoming Independence day is also going to be filled with the launch of electric scooters. Now, Ducati has launched its XDiavel in our country. Internationally, this model is available in three variants namely Dark, S and Black Star. But, only two variants has been launched in our country that is Dark and Black Star.
To begin with, this motorbike has been launched with the price starting from Rs 18 lakh for Dark variant and Rs 22.6 lakh for Black Star variant where both the prices are ex showroom. The manufacturer has launched the Diavel 1260 in the month of June followed by the Multistrada V4 last month. Now, they've launched the XDiavel. This motorbike comes under cruiser category with its rugged devilish look.
Dark variant comes with the full matte black finish and the Black Star variant comes with the dual color paintjob on the fuel tank with matte black and grey color which is separated by a red stripe which draws our attention towards it. This machine is going to be powered by a Ducati Testastretta DVT 1262cc twin cylinder engine which churns out maximum power of 160hp at 9,500rpm and 127Nm of torque at 5000rpm. Ducati's are know for its raw power as well as for the implementation of tech which includes 3 riding modes, traction control, launch control, cornering ABS etc..
Both the variant features a inverted forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear which is capable of adjusting for preload and rebound. The swingarm is a single sided unit built with trellis frame. This motorbike contributes a steel trellis frame which is very much essential for improving the ride quality and the feel of the motorbike. Braking duties are done by the radial mounted Brembo 4 piston calipers with radial master cylinders at the front and a 2 piston Brembo caliper at the rear. While the Dark variant runs with the help of cast alloy wheels, Black Star variant gets the forged and machined alloy wheels in which both the variant rolls with Pirelli Diablo Rosso rubbers. Both the variant gets a TFT instrument cluster and a LED headlamp setup.
