Multistrada offers a adventure range of motorcycles from Ducati and for this year, Ducati has launched their new Multistrada V4 starting from Rs 19 lakh Ex showroom India. This motorbike suits much well for touring as well as for off road use. The manufacturer offers this motorbike in two variants namely the V4 and V4 S.
This Multistrada is powered by the new 1158cc V4 six speed Granturismo engine which is tuned to improve the rider's experience at lower revs. The engine spits out 170 hp at 10,500 rpm and the peak torque of 125 Nm at 8,750 rpm. Instead of Desmodromic valve actuation, this engine have conventional valve spring mechanism. For doing all that jumping and sliding, the front suspension comes with fully adjustable USD fork with electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment where the rear suspension turns out to be fully adjustable monoshock with electronic adjustment connected to a double sided swingarm.
As standard, this machine comes with Ducati quick shift and cruise control system. In addition to that, it have multiple riding modes, cornering ABS, Ducati traction control, Ducati wheelie control and full map navigation system. All components and parts are fitted in a aluminium monocoque frame and the fuel capacity is 22 litres. The seat height can be adjusted according to the rider's wish ranging from 840mm to 860mm. The higher spec variant V4 S costs about Rs 23 lakh. It comes with Pirelli scorpion rubbers. The wheelbase of the machine is 1567mm and have a good amount of ground clearance of 220mm. Most importantly, front brake contributes with radial mounted Brembo caliper with 4 piston and with radial master cylinder where the rear braking system contributes 2 piston Brembo caliper. This machine turns out to be a great competition for its other rival named BMW R 1250 GS.
