The most awaited and the most important motorbike from the Royal Enfield has been launched in our county now. Before the launch itself, other media platforms have leaked the images and the specs of the motorbike. The motorbike's price starts from Rs 1,84,000 lakh ex showroom. Bookings are already opened on the authorized dealerships and this motorbike now stands down as a perfect competitor for its other rivals like CB350, Imperiale 400 and Jawa.

The manufacturer has maintained the retro looks of the motorbike even these days which is very much welcomed. It takes back and remembers the good old days of British motorcycling culture as this motorbike is inspired from the post war G2 model which is first born in 1950s, said by the manufacturer. It continues the tear drop shaped fuel tank, circular halogen headlamp, circular rear view mirrors, circular tail lamp, wider handlebar and chrome exhaust. The motorbike is loved by many enthusiasts including me which is a pure retro machine. Even thought technology is evolving more and more in motorbikes, the manufacturer perfectly knows how to implement the same and at the same time to maintain the classic looks of the motorbike.

The instrument cluster is updated where now it gets a small LCD displaying various meters like odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge and clock. It continues the same analog speedometer. But, it'll be even better if a tachometer is added which is missing in all the versions of the motorbike. It gets a new switchgear and a USB charging socket which is borrowed from the Meteor 350. Another thing which is very much expected is the tripper navigation system. Yes... The Classic 350 also now gets a tripper navigation system just like the Meteor 350 in which a smartphone can be connected and displays a turn by turn navigation assist in the console. But, this tripper nav system is available only on the top variant. The good news here is it is also offered as an accessory.

The engine is borrowed from the Meteor 350 which is a 349cc air+oil cooled motor churning out 20.2 BHP of power at 6,100rpm and 27Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 5 speed transmission system. Front end gets a 41mm telescopic fork with 130mm travel and a twin shocks with 6 step preload adjustable at the rear. All other chassis components are attached to a conventional twin downtube spine frame. Braking duties are carried out by a 300mm disc with 2 piston floating Bybre caliper at the front and a 270mm disc with a single piston caliper at the rear. The manufacturer gives rear drum brake as an option in which dual and single channel ABS comes as a standard one. The manufacturer also gives us the choice of choosing between alloy or wired spoke rims and the fuel tank's capacity is 13L.

Accessories includes engine guard, bar end or touring mirrors and alloy wheels. There's also a option of choosing a single or double seat. The manufacturer offers 11 color options totally. Single channel version comes with two color options that is redditch sage green and redditch grey. Dual channel color options includes dark stealth black, dark gunmetal grey, chrome red, chrome bronze, signals marsh grey, signals desert sand, halcyon green, halcyon black and halcyon grey. This motorbike is based on the new J platform. I wish the manufacturer to introduce new motorbikes in this platform including Continental GT and Interceptor. Many of us including me likes the Cafe Racer type of motorbikes. But the only barrier is the cost. If the manufacturer introduce the new Continental GT 350 & Interceptor 350, surely it'll become an hit very soon and will dominate the market.
