This new Tiger 1200 is going to be lighter compared to that of its other competitors and going to be propelled by a triple powered engine as mentioned and with the new dimensions for even more good handling and control. Like for the Tiger Sport 660, the manufacturer has mentioned that the motorbike is still under its final stages of testing. It is expected that the engine implemented will be a new overhauled unit. By seeing the engine casing , it looks more compact now as the header pipes are slightly lowered than the current model.

Engine's capacity is likely to remain the same where we can expect the output power over 150bhp. We can also expect the changes in the engine's firing order which the manufacturer has done in the Tiger 900. Like in the previous models, it tends to continue the same drive shaft for transferring the power to the wheels. But, it seems like some works have been made on the gearbox where the bevel drive from the gearbox output is repositioned.
Damping duties are going to be handled by a new suspension units at both the ends. Other major change is transferring from the single sided swingarm to the conventional double sided swingarm unit which resulted on the slim bevel box. Current model's suspension units are equipped with WPs but we can expect the Showa units like in the 900 series. To accommodate the larger suspension travel, large single radiator is replaced with a twin unit which is fitted on both sides of the gas tank.
We can also expect the suspension which is electronically adjustable and surely not to forget about the new Brembo radial calipers at the front. It seems like the motorbike will be launched at two variants one for the serious off-roading and the another one which is concentrate for the roads. Road version is likely to get alloy wheels where the off-road version is likely to get a off-road rubbers with wired spoke wheels. It may look production ready, but still its under the final stages of testing. In the upcoming months, it'll make its global debut. After 2 or 3 months of making its global debut, we can expect the motorbike in our country.
