• TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of new Apache RTR 200 4V in our country starting from Rs 1,33,840 for single channel ABS variant and Rs 1,38,890 for dual channel ABS variant. All the prices mentioned above are ex-showroom Delhi.
• While the mechanical specifications of the motorcycle remains same, front end of the motorcycle is equipped with new headlamp unit which is borrowed from the recently launched MY22 RTR 160 4V. It is a LED unit with integrated DRL. In my point of view, this headlamp unit looks better than the ongoing model.
• Comparing it to the previous version, the prices did not change much which is a added advantage. Engine is the same 197.75cc, air + oil cooled, 4 valve unit churning out 20.82PS & 17.25Nm of peak power & torque at 9,000 & 7,250rpm respectively. It is mated to a 5 speed transmission system also with slipper clutch assist.
• Engine is stuffed inside a conventional double cradle frame and it is suspended using telescopic forks at the front which is preload adjustable and monoshock at the rear. Both the units are from Showa. Brake and clutch levers are also adjustable with 3 step position.
• Braking duties are handled by 270mm petal type disc rotor at the front and 240mm petal rotor at the rear in which both of them are clamped by Nissin calipers. The bike is offered with 3 color schemes such as gloss back, pearl white and matte blue.
• Fuel tank's capacity is 12L and overall the bike weighs about 152kg. Other than that, it gets double barrel exhaust setup, TVS SmartXonnect feature for navigation assist, call/message alert, race telemetry, crash alert and low fuel alert. Multiple riding modes such as sport, urban and rain are available in which each mode will differ the engine's o/p power and ABS response for optimal performance
• In addition to that, it also gets Glide Through Technology which helps much in traffic condition by eliminating the requirement of sync between the clutch & throttle and engine stalling. With its new front end, this newly launch model will stand down as a perfect competitor against other rivals in the segment such as NS200, Hornet and Duke 200.
