• The Japanese manufacturer have taken the wraps off the next generation MT-10 officially in Europe. This motorbike is based on the other faired sibling named as R1 and it is mentioned by the manufacturer that this motorbike is the most advanced Hyper Naked ever built.
• The manufacturer have overhauled the motor which is borrowed from the R1 and it is tuned for more midrange thrust than that of the peak power. But, still there's some similarities between its predecessor in design wise.
• To feel the improvement in torque, there should be more drivetrain inertia. To achieve this, titanium conrods have been replaced with a help of steel conrods which is also cheaper than that of titanium.
• To improve the engine's efficiency, engine is revised with lightweight forged aluminum pistons and offset conrods. Overall, the bike's power have been improved from 158.2bhp to 163.6bhp and the torque have gone up by 112Nm at 11,500 & 9,000rpm respectively.
• As said previously, the motor has been tuned to feel the boost in torque at the mid-range that is from 4,000 - 8,000rpm. Both the intake and exhaust system is tuned for more aggressive exhaust note especially at the mid-range.
• Air box have been tuned acoustically with 3 uneven dia and length intake tubes for that appealing exhaust note. It also gets a acoustic amplifier grilles which is mounted on the fuel tank in which the intake sound will be directed to the rider for a pure eargasm.
• Burnt fuel air mixture exits via a new titanium exhaust setup including the downpipe and muffler. We have to remember that the motor also meets the EURO5 emission standards.
• Engine is a 998cc, LC, DOHC, in-line 4, crossplane unit stuffed inside the R1 derived Deltabox chassis. Restyled fuel tank with enlarged air intakes on either side, sharper LED headlamp setup, removed side panel, revised pillion seat and tail end makes this machine even more aggressive.
• Front braking system incorporates a R1 derived dual 320mm disc rotors with 4 piston radially mounted calipers and here comes the new radial master cylinder from Brembo where the rear end gets a 220mm disc rotor.
• There's no change in the Kayaba suspension setup and sitting above the triple tree is a new 4.2" TFT color display. Other electronics includes ride by wire, wheelie control, engine brake control, traction control with cornering function, cornering ABS, quickshifter, slide control system and 4 power modes. There's no word about the pricing and it is expected that the motorbike will land at the dealer showrooms by early 22.
