• Bounce, a Bengaluru based startup company has launched its first electric scooter in our country named Infinity E1. The scooter is offered with 2 schemes. Firstly, customers can buy the scooters with the battery pack and its charger. Bounce offers the unique 'battery-as-a-service-plan' in which customers can avail the battery pack on rental basis. In this plan, battery pack will not be offered and the bike maker has mentioned that the batteries can be swapped with fully charged units through the battery swapping networks.
• Recently, Bounce has partnered with Park+ for developing charging stations with intense dense. It is to be noted that the Infinity E1 is the first electric scooter in our country with battery swapping feature. The scooter is priced at Rs 68,999 with the battery pack & its charger and Rs 45,099 without the battery, ex-showroom Delhi. Pre-bookings for the scooter have already commenced on the company's official website for Rs 499.
• The scooter looks minimal which also helps in giving the scooter a great look. Round shaped LED headlamp gives the required illumination and the amount of legroom looks decent. Pillion grabrail looks purposeful and so the round shaped rear view mirrors.
• The scooter is propelled by a BLDC motor powered by 48V 39Ah portable lithium-ion battery which gives a range of coverage per single charge of 85km. While the power figures are unknown, the motor is capable of torquing out 83Nm. The company claims that the scooter can reach a top speed of 65kmph and 0-40kmph in 8s.
• Battery pack can be charged in about 4-5 hours and it is integrated with 2 riding modes such as power and eco. Under seat storage capacity is 12L equipped with USB charging socket. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin struts at the rear. Braking duties by disc at both the ends with re-gen braking tech.
• The scooter is offered in 5 color schemes such as red, black, white, silver and grey and also the bike maker offers the scooter with 3 year/50,000km warranty. Other than that, it gets digital instrumentations with Bluetooth connectivity feature for navigation assist, tracking, charging status and more.
• It also gets a reverse mode, cruise control and tow alert. Drag mode allows the scooter to crawl at walking speed in case of any puncture or if you want to push it along. As said previously, this is the first e-scooter in our country with battery swapping feature and also gets some unique features. Let's wait and watch how it performs on the real world.
