TVS Motor Company and Bajaj Auto were one among the group of manufacturers who entered the electric platform via their models known as iQube and Chetak few years back. Still now, both the scooters are performing well both in terms of sales numbers and in real world.
Now, new electric scooter has been spotted testing near the TVS manufacturing unit in Hosur, TN. With it's appearance, we can say the scooter is meant for hauling the load which suits perfectly for delivery and other business jobs.
First thing which grabbed by attention is the barbeque grill at both the sides. There's a reason for this grill which is big in size. As we can see, the seat area is lengthy enough for loading the luggage or cargo at the rear.
Body works are minimalistic and the foot board area is spacious and flat for loading the cargo items. Compared to any other scooters in the segment, wheel units looks large and they're alloy units. Another thing which grabbed my attention is the lengthy profile of the scooter.
We got a chance only to witness the right side view of the scooter. There's a twin suspension strut at the rear which is hooked to the swingarm unit. It seems like the manufacturer have implemented a hub mounted motor for better performance characteristics.
By taking a deeper look at the rear, it seems like there's a small disc rotor clamped by the caliper at the top. But, still it's not clear. Suspension duties at the front is handled by telescopic forks and sitting above the steering head is a fully digital rectangular console.
Recently we've seen that the TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad has extended their long term partnership for the development of techs and EVs. Range anxiety is the only thing which prevents the people from going into EVs. We can expect this partnership to introduce the premium range of EVs and fast charging infrastructures.
iQube is launched few years back and the range of coverage per single charge is 75km. As battery and fast charging technology is developed very much, we can expect this load hauler to consist a better range of coverage per single charge and improved battery capacity to sustain in this developing platform.
