2022 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 is under the works

Svartpilen and Vitpilen 401 from Husqvarna is launched in the year 2018 at the European countries and haven't received any major updates since it's launch. The sales were good as it received a better response and attracted many by its unique design and holds its position as the attention seeker. Now, new spy shots of the motorbike were released which confirms that the manufacturer is working on the updated Svartpilen 401.

The motorbike is based on the KTM's 390 as it contains the new refined motor from the 390 Duke. The engine is accompanied by a new redesigned steel trellis frame where it continues the same bolted sub frame. The swingarm also looks similar. The motorbike continues the same round shaped headlamps, wired spoke rims and a inverted fork where the wind visor, fuel tank shrouds, radiator shrouds, front mudguard gets a new design. But, fuel tank's design is retained. It looks like the rear fender also gets a new design but the tail lamp assembly looks like the same as the current version.

It also likely to get a new TFT console with connectivity features as 390 Duke instead of a round unit in the current model. In the spied mule, clearly we can able to see the underbelly exhaust. But, its just a prototype. There are also chances for the manufacturer to go for the conventional type. As per the source, changes were also made on the front radially mounted caliper to improve the braking performance. As far now, no info were available about the powertrain and we can expect the same from the 390 Duke with slight variations in the power characteristics and also with the same 6 speed transmission system with the assist and slipper clutch.

We can expect this spied model to make its global debut sometime at the next year and also the same changes will be applied to the Vitpilen 401. But, it still remains a question mark that whether it'll enter to our country. But I think they'll introduce this motorbike in our country after making its global debut. As the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250 is gaining momentum in its sales, surely there are chances for the manufacturer to launch these models also in our country.
