The Japanese manufacturer has unveiled its 2022 model of the Africa Twin. The motorbike now looks sharper as well as practical and launched with two variants namely the Africa Twin and the Africa Twin Adventure Sports. This motorbike is one of the best in its category for the enthusiasts who likes rough off-roading and touring.

The 1,084cc parallel twin, SOHC, LQ motor with 270deg crank angle tends to continue the same which spits out 100bhp at 7,500rpm and 105Nm of torque at 6,250rpm. As the motorbike is already under the Euro 5 emission norms, no major powertrain updates were done. But, Honda's Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) system has been updated on both the models to get smooth response in the first two gears at slow speeds. Africa Twin now gets a new color scheme where the big logo is depicted on the semi fairings.

The standard Africa Twin also gets a aluminum rear rack as a standard accessory where the Adventure Sports gets a new lowered wind visor. The screen is 4.3inches shorter with 5 step adjustable options which Honda claims that it improves the rider's view as well as offers protection against the windblast. The new 46mm throttle bodies were introduced and the head assembly is completely revised. The injector angle is also modified to spray more amount of fuel into the combustion chambers.

The suspension travel is also a best in its class. Africa Twin gets a exposed sub frame where the Adventure Sports variant's sub frame is covered with the body panels.

This also features the motorbike with a new black colored aluminum side covers and a aluminum rear carrier as mentioned already. Normal variant comes with 3 color options which includes Matte Ballistic Black, Grand Prix Red and Pearl Glare White. For me, the new Grand Prix Red color scheme looks stunning. Other off-roading characteristics of the motorbike also includes upswept exhaust pipe and a heavy bash plate.
