On August 15, two electric vehicle manufacturers named Ola and Simple Energy has launched their e-scooters named One and S1. As these scooters created much hype among the customers before the launch itself, 30,000 bookings were received as far now since the day of its launch for the model named One. The scooter is launched at a price tag starting from Rs 1,09,999 ex-showroom and the pre orders were also opened on the launch day itself from Rs 1,947 at the company's website.
CEO and founder of the company said that they're happy with the love they've been getting since the launch day. They are thankful to the customers as they believe and support the product from their home land. The company also faced much traffic on their site which caused few issues at the time of pre ordering by the customers. But, they've managed to rectify all those issues and now turned their concentration towards the production as soon as possible.
In the first phase, they've launched their e-scooter across 13 states including Punjab, Gujarat, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana. The only barrier which is present in between us and electric vehicles is range anxiety. This scooter is claimed to have a range of coverage about 203km in eco mode. Another advantage is that the 7kg battery pack which is removable and charged separately.
As pre bookings were on the process, we can expect the deliveries from the month of November. On the same day of launch of this scooter, another most awaited scooter that is Ola's S1 & S1 Pro is also launched. Both the scooters gave a different perspective on electric vehicles to our people by its features and most importantly by the range of coverage per single charge. Yesterday, we've also seen that the Tork Motors is about to enter this segment very soon. But, my thought is like, instead of going for a new electric vehicle, why the manufacturers and governments are not taking any steps in implementing the conversion kits. These conversion kits helps very much in saving the money and also by utilizing the existing vehicles.
