Bharat Forge is about to enter the EV segment via Tork Motors

Tork Motors, a Pune based company which is running from the year 2009 is about to launch their electric vehicles in the upcoming year. Bharat Forge, manufacturer of auto forged components has tied up with the Tork Motors few years back. Amit Kalyani, deputy managing director of Bharat Forge has mentioned that the company has met the requirements for the phase 2 of Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME-II) for producing multiple products including three wheelers. Their products will be launched in the upcoming year and the launch of the products are planned according to that.

It is also mentioned that the detailed announcement will be released by the month of November. Tork Motors gets investments from Bharat Forge over few years. Bharat Forge's stake in Tork Motors stood almost about 49% up to March 31. In addition to that, Kalyani Group has also invested its shares in Tork Motors about Rs 4 crores.

Speaking about the three wheelers, while the leading three wheeler manufacturers like Bajaj Auto and TVS are yet to launch their EVs in this segment, Tork Motors is looking for a tie up with the other three wheeler manufacturers to develop their products. As said, the company is working on the multiple EVs where the first offering from the company is to be witnessed in the upcoming year. Their model T6X is one of them which is built with the research and development done over 7 years.

Their prototype of the another model named TX 02 is powered by a parallel twin brushed DC motor with the massive 60Nm of torque has recorded a top speed of 214 kmph. With its stunning features including 4.3 inch TFT screen with cloud connectivity, decent amount of charging time and range of coverage of the model T6X surely brings down a heavy competition while the other EV manufacturers are blooming up more in our country.
