Indian Motorcycle has launched its new 2022 Chief range in our country which includes three motorcycles Chief Dark Horse, Chief Bobber Dark Horse and Super Chief Limited. It comes with the iconic V twin engine with modern technology. All the three motorbike contains retro themed design elements with simple aesthetics which remembers the old school motorcycling culture. This new Chief lineup starts from Rs 20.75lakh ex-showroom.
All the three models are powered by a Thunderstroke Motor which is a 1,890cc V-twin, air cooled unit capable of producing 162Nm of peak torque at 3,200rpm. Maximum power output is not mentioned anywhere as I glanced every sites. Will update the same in the future. All the three motorbikes features a 15.1L gas tank, preload adjustable rear shocks, LED lighting, keyless ignition and Pirelli Night Dragon rubbers.

Cruise control and adjustable throttle response also comes as part of the plan. Riding modes includes standard, sport and tour. The 4inch touchscreen instrument console is round shaped and so the turn indicators and the LED headlamp. The rounded instrument cluster gives us the feel of the analog gauge in which different information is displayed including turn by turn navigation, responding to calls, Bluetooth connectivity etc...
Telescopic forks are present at the front end of all the three models. All the three motorbikes have a single piece lowered seat with slightly centered foot pegs which also suits for the short riders and this setup gives the rider a complete control over the motorbike. Chief Dark Horse and Chief Bobber Dark Horse gets a blackened exhaust pipes where the Super Chief Limited is present with the chrome plated exhaust pipes. Super Chief Limited also gets a wind visor and a pillion seat with the back rest. Anchoring jobs in all the three model are done by a single 300mm disc with a semi floating 4 piston caliper at the front and a 300mm disc with a 2 piston caliper at the rear. Chief dark horse comes with the machined cast black rims where the other two receives a wired spokes.
The handle in the Chief Dark Horse is raised a little bit higher and receives 3 color schemes such as Black Smoke, Stealth gray and Alumina Jade Smoke. Chief Bobber Dark Horse gets a much raised handlebar because the motorbike comes under the bobber category. It also receives 3 color options which includes Black Smoke, Titanium Smoke and Sagebrush Smoke. The third model Super Chief Limited gets a wider handlebar compared to the other two and also receives three color options including Blue Slate Metallic, Black Metallic and Maroon Metallic. In addition to that, owners can customize their motorbikes with more than 80 available accessories. This motorbike stands down as a perfect choice for the people who consider a retro style accompanied with modern features.
