Honda's new updated CB500 lineups

Honda has updated and unveiled its new CB500 range in Europe. This includes CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X. We have only CB500X in our country which is a adventure bike. CB500 range of motorbikes are very popular in the European countries and in this article, let's discuss about the updates which have been made in all the three models. The manufacturer hasn't made any changes in the CB500 range since 2019. But, brakes and suspension setup has been revised for improving the overall feedback in the new models.

All the trio gets the same components & parts under the skin. So, the updates are similar on all the models. To begin with, all the three models now comes with the 41mm Showa big piston forks along with the new triple clamps instead of the telescopic unit and this new setup is derived from the CBR650R. To accommodate the new front forks, rear shock has also received updates and hooked to a new swingarm which is also lighter than the previous one.

Instead of a six spoke unit in the previous gen, CBR500R & CB500F now gets a 5 spoke unit which is also lighter. Single disc setup is replaced with a new twin 296mm discs at the front along with a radially mounted 2 piston calipers. This new setup enhances the overall braking performance of the vehicle. The power source of all the three models tends to continue the same.

The motor continues to produce the same 47bhp and 43.2Nm of torque. But, Honda had done something with the ECU by updating the fuel injection parameters for better delivery of torque in the midrange. The addition of the new radiator helps to lose 100g. The CBR model now gets a LED headlamp assembly like the CBR650R to make it even more aggressive. The 500X also gets a new LED lightings and so the indicator setup which looks inspired from the Africa Twin.

The color schemes for all the three models are also new. CB500X gets new three color options such as grand prix red, mat gunpowder black metallic and pearl organic green. Naked version gets 3 color options including pearl smoke gray, mat axis gray metallic and pearl dusk yellow. The faired 500R receives new graphics with new color including mat gunpowder black metallic. In our country, we already have the CB500X which is a adventure model. It'll be well and good if the Japanese manufacturer introduce the faired and the naked version. But, it doesn't seems like the updated models will enter into our country. But I think the updated adventure model will enter our markets by first half of the next year.
