LML plans to enter the EV segment

The company was founded back then in 1972 which is based on Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh which offered us with the motorcycles, mopeds and scooters including its spare parts & accessories of the same. After hooking up with Piaggio, 100cc scooters came out from the assembly line of the manufacturing unit. Also, other motorcycles has become famous such as Freedom, Graptor, etc.. Due to the financial difficulties, the company has to shutdown back then in 2017. Now, it seems like the company is working on the groundwork to re-enter the market through the electric segment.

LML plans to enter the EV segment

As per the sources, company's management has got proposals from various tech companies for a comeback through the electric segment. MD & CEO of LML Electric, Yogesh Bhatia has mentioned that they're working on the product development strategies for introducing a highly innovative product with the best available technology to strengthen the urban mobility space. It is also said that the company is about to invest Rs 1,000 crore in the upcoming years.

The manufacturer is also searching for sites in Madhya Pradesh & Haryana for building the assembly plant. Depending on the demand in markets, there is also a plan for setting about 1000 dealerships across the country for improving the overall sales. Though, no info regarding the upcoming product has been revealed and makes us eager to wait for the reveal. And it is also not clear that whether the product will be fabricated fully in our country itself.

Though the company has got proposals from various tech companies, we can expect the upcoming product from the manufacturer will be fabricated in our country itself with more innovation and tech loaded. As the market is already loaded with some EVs like S1, 450X, RV300 & 400, Simple one, Chetak etc...., surely this upcoming product should be more innovative and also have to be loaded with more tech & features. The specs should also be decent enough and better than that of the existing models to catch a separate place in the market and to draw our attention towards it. As we all know, range anxiety is the only parameter which stands as a barrier. Better performance with optimized battery range surely draws our attention towards it. Let's see... Ultraviolette Automotive recently mentioned that their product will hit the market by the first half of the next year. As year passes, competition becomes heavy with the innovation in technologies. Recently, mobile charging platforms has also been developed which is very much welcomed along with the battery swappable option.
