Most iconic manufacturer from the past is cooking some scrambler & ADV under the plant's roof. Likely to be launched soon...
In the month of March, 1st development mule of the Roadking has been spotted testing. Now the motorbike is spotted testing again for the 2nd time. But this time, it is spotted along with a ADV type vehicle which makes us clear that the manufacturer is working on the multiple products. The motorbike was caught testing on the Mumbai - Pune highway. Classic Legends have successfully revived a brand few years ago that is Jawa by launching two models followed by the third one. Now, it seems like the manufacturer is working on restoring other two brands namely Yezdi & BSA. But, it seems like BSA models will be exported to other countries and products from Yezdi will also be launched in our country. First let's see about the Roadking followed by the ADV.
Back in those days, Roadking's design elements were similar to that of a classic motorcycle with its simple look. The spied Roadking now looks like a scrambler based motorbike. To begin with, it gets a raised handlebar along with a teardrop shaped fuel tank. The seat also looks like a single piece unit. Minimal body panels remembers something of the 70s. Fork gaiters along with the round headlamp assembly & rear view mirrors adds some more essence of the scrambler look.
Muffler looks slim & upswept. Number plate along with the turn winkers are mounted on the rear mudguard leaving the rear end of the motorbike plain only with a simple round shaped tail lamp. Clearly we can able to see a dual gas charged shocks along with the disc at the rear. The wired spoke units at both the ends are big and also looks capable with multi purpose rubbers. Powering the motorbike is maybe a motor from the Jawa. It may be a 293cc unit from the 42 & Standard producing about 27bhp or a 334cc unit from the Perak producing about 30bhp.
On the other hand, Yezdi ADV looks fresh which will compete against the Himalayan. It contains all the off-roading elements such as wired spoke wheels, luggage carriers & panniers at the rear & front of the motorbike, discs at both the ends, digital instrument cluster with the taller wind visor and so on. Engine's head looks different and also the fins. So it makes us to think whether its a Jawa motor or a new unit. Anyways... Off-road looking highly mounted fender also looks purposeful. Headlamp assembly looks like a LED unit but I think the exposed vertically mounted radiator will become a problem if the motorbike is meant for heavy off-roading. Let's wait & watch.
