Kawasaki's first hybrid prototype gains shape

Recently Kawasaki has made a statement that several electric & hybrid models will be launched in the upcoming years before going fully electric by the year 2035 and weeks before that, the patented pictures of hybrid tech & electric supercharger by the manufacturer leaked through the online. Now, the bike maker showcased its first prototype of the hybrid sports bike.

Its all about stuffing the frame with the engine, motor and the required battery pack. The only way to fit the battery pack & motor inside the frame is downsizing the engine. It is said that the engine is a parallel twin unit in which the capacity isn't revealed yet. But the possibilities of implementing a 250cc or 400cc parallel twin engine is very much high.

The battery will also be charged automatically with the help of re-gen braking tech. It doesn't stops here. The presence of semi automatic transmission system matters. Though the electric motor have linear torque, transmission system isn't really required. The transmission system will be re-engaged to the engine once the motorbike reaches high speed in which the gear shifts can be done with the help of automated clutch, servo operated shifter and push button.

Placed under the seat is a 48V system. It is also expected that the motorbike will be equipped with a GPS in which the machine will be propelled with the help of motor only when it enters the city limit. As soon as when it leaves the city, engine propels the vehicle by getting a assist also from the electric motor in order to get more boost. Another thing which I've noticed is a small radiator which is placed below the main one. I think its for cooling the battery or motor as it going to do its job alone inside the city limits. As the motorbike is now revealed, I think the motorbike will make its presence within this year end or by the beginning of 22.
