Few days before the launch of Raider 125, we thought it could be a some other model as the manufacturer have trademarked multiple names such as Fiero, Retron and Creon. While Creon comes under the electric segment, only two other names were left out. After entering the 125cc successfully with the launch of two new products such as Raider and Jupiter 125, now the manufacturer is rolling out another model for the test run. Is it a Retron?? Or Fiero?? Let's breakdown the spy shots in this article.
First of all, side & rear face of the motorbike is only spied near the company's manufacturing unit site at Hosur, Tamil Nadu. What I observed is a single piece seat seat with the bar type pillion grab rail, LED looking turn indicators, minimal body works, telescopic forks & monoshock suspension and dual disc set-up. It also gets alloy wheels, LED tail lamp and raised exhaust assembly along with the handle set-up.
Though the motorbike is under a heavy camouflage, we couldn't able to identify any other design elements of the motorbike. But one thing strikes me very hard. As the motorbike is equipped with dual disc setup, surely it isn't going to be powered by a 125cc motor. It must be a 160cc or 180cc motor borrowed from the Apache series. The probability of implementing a 160cc engine from the Apache RTR 160 is very much high for making the motorbike more affordable and to compete against other rivals in the segment such as Yamaha's FZ-X.
If it is going to be a real modern retro roadster, then it'll contain a teardrop shaped fuel tank, round headlamp and instrument cluster. But the spied model here doesn't contain a round rear view mirrors and the other thing which I've noticed here is the brake lever with aluminium finish. I don't know what it is exactly, but it slightly looks like a fin near the front fender as the Apache's engine is also air cooled. If the manufacturer is really working on a neo retro roadster, then the whole lot of game is about to gain more heat and let's wait & watch...
