In the month of July, a semi faired motorbike from Bajaj Auto has been spotted testing which is believed to be a Pulsar 250F. Naked version of the quarter litre motorbike has been spotted in the beginning of this year itself which concludes that the manufacturer is testing the motorbike for the very long time way before its launch. Two models has been spotted testing which is believed to be the Pulsar 250F & Pulsar 250 NS. Few months back, company's MD, Rajiv Bajaj has also mentioned that we're about to witness the launch of the biggest Pulsar ever and this'll happen in the month of November as the Pulsar brand is going to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Now, according to the source, 250 lineups of the Pulsar range will be launched in our country by 28th October 2021.
Design elements
Both the semi faired and naked version of the motorbike looks fresh but some of the components & design elements has been borrowed from the current flagship models that is NS 200 & 220F. The semi fairing is redesigned also along with the fuel tank. Clearly we can able to see a LED headlamp with the integrated DRLs and tall wind visor. It also gets a LED turn winkers. I don't know why, it slightly remembers me the other Pulsar motorbike that is AS 200. Rear view mirrors are placed on the fairing itself. In both the models, rims too looks similar to that of the ongoing 200NS. Braking components are expected to be borrowed from the Dominar 250. Tail lamp of the motorbike is also revised. Its good to see the manufacturer to maintain its traditional Pulsar tail lamp design with slightly redesigning it. Dual barrel exhaust setup like the Dominar 250 also comes as part of the plan.
On the other hand, the motorbike which is expected to be called as the 250NS gets naked styling where the front is equipped with LED headlamp flanked by LED DRLs. Other components looks similar to that of the one which is utilised on the 250F. Both the models gets clip-ons, sharp looking engine cowl, all LED lightings, raised tail section and split style seat assembly also along with the grab rails.
Power source & others
It do look like the chassis components are mounted on a steel type perimeter frame where the front & rear is equipped with telescopic forks & monoshock respectively. Engine is expected to be a 249cc, air + oil cooled motor producing about 25PS of power. It'll be mated to a 6 speed transmission system. We can also expect a slipper clutch assist. Many thinks like the motorbike misses out a liquid cooling system. But they fails to notice that the implementation of air + oil cooling is a added advantage. As per the previous patented pictures, the motorbike is likely to get a Variable Valve Timing (VVT) mechanism in it. But, it's in the hands of the manufacturer to implement all our needs and also to make it affordable.
We can also expect the manufacturer to implement the updated fully digital instrument cluster with connectivity features. But I wish the manufacturer to give it as a extra accessory. I also wish them to continue the traditional semi digital instrument cluster with a analog dial for tachometer which always feels & looks cool. But, it looks like it has got a fully digital instrument cluster like on the Dominar. Anyways, the motorbike is only weeks away before landing at the dealerships which also makes us wait eagerly for its launch. Let's wait & watch.
