TVS Apache RTR 200 4V based ADV on works

This year is filled with the launch of products from the TVS Motor Company I'd say. Firstly, they've launched the upgraded Apache RTR 160 4V which became a most powerful product in the respective segment followed by the introduction of Apache RR310 with BTO. After that, the company made its entry to the 125 segment with the introduction of Raider & Jupiter 125. Inbetween that, we also came to know that the manufacturer trademarked a name Apache RTR 165 RP which concluded that the manufacturer is also working on more performance oriented products. But, from last year itself there's a talk like the company is working on a adventure based motorbike based on the Apache RTR 200 4V platform and according to the sources, the motorbike could be launched soon in the upcoming months. In this article, let's see what are all the possibilities and chances for what the motorbike could be.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V based ADV on works

In the entry level ADV segment, we have Xpulse 200 which recently received a 4V treatment, CB200X, G 310GS and Himalayan. G 310GS & Himalayan's price are high in numbers where Xpulse 200 4V & CB 200X is somewhat affordable. Though we don't have much models in the segment, it would be great if the TVS Motor Company introduces the all new motorbike both for adventure & highway cruising where youngsters these days are looking forward to it more.

As the motorbike is going to be based on the Apache RTR 200 4V, we can expect the same chassis components, wheels, swingarm, suspension and braking components. As the motorbike is going to come under the adventure category, upswept exhaust pipe will be utilised along with the long travel suspension set-up in the front. Though the company is already present in both road racing and motocross, it would not be difficult for them to implement the same.

Instead of alloys at both the ends, we can also expect wired spoke rims wrapped with multipurpose rubbers. In design wise, it'd get a adventure styled semi fairing with the headlamp design similar to that of the street fighter. The rendered image gives us the idea of how the motorbike could look like. Coming to the engine, we can expect the manufacturer to tune the current Apache RTR 200 4V's engine to produce max torque at the mid-range to suit the motorbike's nature. Currently, the 197.75cc, air + oil cooled motor produces about 20.82PS & 17.25Nm of max power & torque at 9,000rpm & 7,250rpm respectively.

Other that that, we can expect adjustable shocks at both the ends and fully digital instrument cluster with connectivity features just same as the RTR 200 4V. But unlike the CB200 X, I wish the manufacturer to tune the motorbike according to the nature of it, if they're really working on it. But as per the sources, it'll make its present in the upcoming months.
