• Kawasaki India has announced the launch of new Ninja 1000SX in our country starting from Rs 11,40,000 ex-showroom. The booking are already opened and the deliveries of the same will commence from the month of December. Updates are restricted only to cosmetics where design and mechanical specs of the motorbike stays same.
• The color scheme includes metallic matte graphenesteel gray and emerald blazed green. In both the color schemes, body works has been finished in black where rear quarter and bottom panels are finished grey in color. Graphic's color differentiate both the color schemes.
• New adjustable windscreen, raised handle set-up and center set footpegs gives the rider a comfortable riding posture to munch more miles and this bike comes under the sports tourer category. Sport styled fairing gives the motorbike a beefy look and the aggressive looking LED headlamp unit never fails to grab our eyeballs.
• The motorbike is powered by a inline 4 cylinder, 1,043cc, LC, 4V/C, DOHC motor spitting out 142PS & 111Nm at 10,000rpm & 8,000rpm respectively. It is stuffed inside a aluminum twin tube frame.
• Coming to the frame, it is suspended using a 41mm USD forks at the front with compression & rebound damping and spring preload adjustability and gas charged monoshock at the rear with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability. Unlike other models from the bike maker, it doesn't get a underbelly exhaust treatment which also enhances the sporty look & feel of the motorbike.
• Anchoring duties are handled by twin 300mm disc rotors with 4 piston calipers at the front and 250mm disc rotor at the rear with single piston caliper assisted by Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Brake System (KIBS).
• Fuel tank's capacity is 19L and the bike weighs about 238kg. Other electronics includes cruise control, riding modes, adjustable traction control system, power modes, bi-directional quickshifter and cornering management function. It also gets 4.3" TFT color display for instrumentation with connectivity feature via Rideology application.
