• At the DUCATI WORLD PREMIÈRE episode 4, not only one but two motorbikes have been unveiled namely Streetfighter V2 and Streetfighter V4 SP. First, let's see about the new Streetfighter and jump onto the SP variant of the V4.
• The design elements of the motorbike are similar to that of its bigger sibling V4 and the internal components are heavily based on the faired Panigale V2. It gets a typical Ducati styled twin LED headlamp units paired to a sleek LED DRL.
• Beefy fuel tank, radiator shrouds, engine cowl, sharp raised tail section even adds some more essence to the streetfighter look. Alloys are similar to the one used on the Panigale V2 and it is wrapped with Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 rubbers.
• Swingarm's length have been extended by 16mm compared to the Panigale V2 in which it helps much in stability and quick direction change. Seat height comes with 845mm and the fuel tank's capacity is 17L. All together weighs the motorbike about 178kg dry.
• Powering this machine is a same unit as in the Panigale V2 which is a 955cc, 90deg V2, LC, 4V/C, Desmo motor churning out 153hp & 101.4Nm at 10,750 & 9,000rpm. Like the Panigale, engine is mounted on a aluminum monocoque frame in which the engine itself acts as a stressed member. It is paired to a 6 speed gearbox also with a slipper clutch assist.
• The frame is suspended using a fully adjustable 43mm USD forks from Showa at the front and fully adjustable Sachs monoshock hooked to a single sided aluminum swingarm at the rear. Braking duties are handled by twin 320mm disc rotors with radially mounted 4 piston Brembo calipers at the front and 245mm disc rotor with 2 piston caliper at the rear assisted by Bosch Cornering ABS.
• Other electronics includes riding modes, power modes, traction control, ride by wire, wheelie control, engine brake control and bi-directional quickshifter. The motorbike also gets a steering damper from Sachs. Modes and other instrumentations can be accessed by a 4.3" TFT display.
• It is expected that the motorbike will be available from the month of December and it is offered only in single color scheme that is Ducati red. There's no word about the Indian launch officially but we can expect the model to be launched in the first half of 2022.
Streetfighter V4 SP
• On the other hand, Ducati has also introduced the SP variant of the V4 with winter test livery which Ducati's race models use. Other than that, some of the premium components also been borrowed from the Superleggera V4.
• It includes new carbon rims which is 1.4kg lighter compared to that of the Streetfighter V4 S and reduced inertia by 26% at the front and 46% at the rear which helps very much in direction changes. Overall this version had shed 3kg and the option of Akrapovic exhaust system saves another 6kg.
• Anchoring jobs are now done by Brembo Stylema R calipers from the Superleggera models which improves the overall stopping power. The motorbike is propelled with a help of the same 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale motor producing 208PS & 123Nm.
• With an Akra exhaust system, power can be increased up to 220PS. Other than that, it also gets Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension, STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, Rizoma billet aluminum adjustable footpegs, lithium-ion battery and carbon fiber front mudguard as standard. Accessories includes carbon clutch cover and tail tidy.
