• Kawasaki has unveiled the 22 version of the middleweight adventure tourer Versys 650 at the ongoing Milan Motor Show. While the motorbike has received feature and cosmetic updates, mechanical specs remains the same.
• LT variant includes the rear case. Front fairing has been sharpened and it makes the headlamp cowl more angular. Wind visor is manually adjustable according to the rider's wish by 3 inches. The fairing also incorporates a new headlamp unit which is a LED.
• Placed above the steering head is a 4.3" TFT dash in which the display's background color can be switched from black to white or vice versa. The screen also self adjusts to different light conditions. There's also a Bluetooth connectivity feature via Kawasaki's Rideology app.
• Other than that, it has got 21L fuel tank, underbelly exhaust treatment, sharper tail section, split and raised pillion seat and the stunning adventure type fairing. The motorbike is offered in three different color schemes such as green, black and grey.
• Engine is a 649cc, LC, parallel twin, 4V/C, DOHC unit which is capable of churning out 67PS and 61Nm. It is paired to a 6 speed transmission system and suspension duties are handled by 41mm USD forks at the front with adjustable rebound damping & preload where rear end is equipped with offset mounted monoshock with remote spring preload adjustability.
• Anchoring jobs are handled by twin 300mm petal disc rotors with 2 piston calipers at the front and 250mm petal rotor with single piston caliper at the rear. This MY also gets adjustable traction control system to prevent the parallel twin motor spinning up the rear Dunlop rubbers unwantedly.
• New accessories includes taller windshield, USB charging socket and 47L top box. As it is unveiled now, we can expect the manufacturer to launch this new updated adventure tourer in our country sometime by the first half of 2022 and it is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 7 - 7.6 lakh ex-showroom.
