Suzuki Avenis launched officially

• Suzuki has introduced a new scooter in the 125cc segment named as Avenis and it sits above the Access 125 and below the Burgman Street and the price starts from Rs 86,700 ex-showroom Delhi. The scooter is available in 2 forms such as ride connect edition and race edition.

• The scooter features a sporty design with its sharp design elements and dual tone color scheme. It also looks practical and the seat gets a slight step-up treatment. LED headlamp is mounted on the body itself and the halogen turn indicators are mounted on the headlamp cowl.

• Fuel lid is present externally and sits above the rear tail lamp. Under seat storage capacity is 21.8L and gets two more compartments at the dash. Mobile phones can also be charged with a help of USB charging socket which is present inside the compartment itself.

• LED tail lamp also looks cool and simple. To deal the windblast, headlamp cowl is fitted with a short visor and after riding it only we can able to say how it performs. Like every other scooter, it gets two luggage hooks near the dash and under the rider seat and side stand engine cut-off feature.

• It also gets a integrated start and kill switch which is not very much common in this segment. On the other hand, race edition gets Suzuki graphics on the body and also on the front quarter panel and this edition is offered only in single color scheme that is blue where the connect variant is offered in 4 color schemes that is green, red, white and black.

• Powering the scooter is a 124.3cc, 2V, SOHC motor producing 8.7ps & 10Nm at 6,750 & 5,500rpm respectively. Fuel tank's capacity is 5.2L and the scooter weighs about 106kg. Seat height comes by 780mm. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks & monoshock and braking duties by disc & drum at the front & rear respectively.

• Present above the steering head is a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity feature for missed call alert, speed exceeding alert, SMS & WhatsApp alert, phone battery level indicator, turn by turn navigation and ETA updates. There's also a standard variant in which all the above mentioned features will not be present.

• Stylish knuckle cover, floor mat and custom made seat covers are all offered as an accessory. Split type grab rails for the pillion looks practical. Overall the scooter looks good and compete against other products in the same segment such as Ntorq, Maestro, Jupiter and Activa.
