• Few months before, Norton Motorcycles has unveiled the V4SV, a luxurious British sports machine which is more capable of dominating the tracks. Now, the bike maker has unveiled the Cafe variant of the faired sports machine named V4CR in its prototype form.
• This is the first model to be designed, engineered and developed at the bike maker's recently opened global headquarters in the UK. V4CR incorporates a shorter subframe for an aggressive riding stance with lowered bars which is placed behind the short windscreen.
• On either side of the radiator shrouds, air ducts are present which also looks cool. The rear cowl gives the motorbike a perfect Cafe look which matches its lines with the fuel tank perfectly. But in my point of view, rear cowl's design could have been better with a slight lengthy profile.
• As we all know, it's just a prototype and anything could be changed at the time of launch. It shares the carbon fiber fuel tank and bodywork with it's bigger sibling and also the polished aluminum tubular chassis and swingarm. As the bike shares the DNA, it also gets the same motor from the V4SV.
• It is a 1,200cc, 72deg V4, LC motor churning out 185bhp & 125Nm at 12,500rpm & 9,000rpm respectively. As the technical details of the prototype is not updated, we can expect the bike maker to unveil the same soon and the performance numbers could vary from it's sibling.
• Round shaped LED headlamp unit and short front fender stays true to the Cafe Racing tradition. Braking components are borrowed from Brembo and suspension duties are handled by Ohlins units at both the ends.
• Other things includes keyless ignition, quicshifter with autoblipper, traction control, titanium exhaust, BST wheels and 6" color TFT instrumentation. As of now, the motorbike will be available in 2 color schemes such as carbon and manx silver. The motorbike will make it's public debut at Motorcycle Live which will happen from 4th - 12th December 2021.
