Bajaj Triumph product - Spied testing for the first time

Previously, we've seen about the possibilities of the name Twinner, in which it is believed that the Triumph Motorcycles and Bajaj Auto were involved. Now, we got a chance to catch the glimpse of the upcoming product from the partnership in a roadster and scrambler form. But it's still not sure whether both the spied models are the same one. In this article, let's see some important key points about the spied development mule.

First thing which I've noticed is the personality of the motorbike. Though it sounds silly, we have to take a look at it deeply. Things like fuel tank and it's pad, crankcase, rear grabrail and lightings stays true to Triumph's design elements and others like fork assembly, braking system, swingarm unit and wheels looks to be borrowed from Bajaj Auto.

Handlebar is raised much and the footpegs are positioned at the center. This gives the rider a upright riding posture and the pillion seat is also raised high. Another thing which grabbed my attention very much is the rear end of the motorbike which remembers me of the Street Triple.

It looks like the powertrain and other chassis components are mounted in a conventional double cradle frame and it is suspended using inverted forks at the front and monoshock at the rear unlike any other Triumph models which uses twin struts to retain the retro feel & look of the motorbike.

Speaking about the powertrain, it's still not clear about the engine's capacity. But by seeing at the exhaust header, we can expect it to come under the 350cc segment. But surely the engine is not going to be cooled by the medium of air because of the absence of more fins. But the vertically mounted radiator is mounted in front of the engine which confuses us even more whether it's a oil or liquid cooled one. According to my guess, the heat exchanger is an oil cooler.

Chain drive is present on the right side and the tank pads too remembers me of other Triumph models. Alloys are wrapped with multipurpose rubbers and the calipers are from Bybre. Exhaust has got a double barrel treatment to give us some sweet sweet eargasm. Ground clearance too looks decent with the absence of bash plate. I think it'll be offered as an accessory.

The bikes were expected to be launched by this year, but due to the ongoing pandemic situation, everything got spoiled. But no worries. As the test mule started to show up, the launch of the same is really not far away and also we can expect some increase in testing frequency. It is very much expected that the product of the allies will be launched by this year end to compete against other models in the same segment.
