Another derivative of the 650 twin

British bike maker Royal Enfield is about to launch a number of new motorcycles in the present and upcoming years such as the new Himalayan 450, Super Meteor and Hunter. Stretching the list, a new mysterious cruiser motorcycle which looks similar to the already spotted Super Meteor starts to wander the Internet and it is likely to be the 650cc cruiser avatar of the existing Classic model. In this article, let's discuss some important key points about the spied motorcycle.

First thing which I've noticed is the riding posture which differentiates the already spotted Super Meteor and this one. If you take a closer look, clearly you can able to see the foot pegs of the motorcycle which is positioned at the center, where the Super Meteor's rider foot pegs are positioned at the front side. Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650 and this Classic 650's design elements are very similar where only small parameters differs.

Another derivative of the 650 twin

Like all other Royal Enfield models, this one too is incorporated with retro design elements such as the round shaped headlamp unit, round turn winkers & circular rear view mirrors, circular tail lamp, tear drop shaped fuel tank and RE's unique split type seat. Things like new diamond cut alloys, Upside Down forks and blacked out components remembers that this motorcycle is from our age. I personally love the design of the alloys which looks cool and also minimalistic for me. I think the design of the alloys will also be carried over to the existing 650 twins.

Sitting above the triple tree setup is the double pod instrument console integrated with tripper navigation system. But I don't know why the bike maker is not providing the twin analog dials for speedometer and tachometer like the existing 650 twins. The handlebar is also on the lower side and along with the center set pegs, it gives the rider a comfortable and more engaged riding posture. To be honest, I personally don't like the design of the headlamp cowl which also looks weird. As we all know, this is just a test mule and anything can be changed before the launch event.

The other iterations of the motorcycle were spotted recently which is equipped with the number of accessories including the panniers and the top box. Interestingly, that test mule is fitted with the conventional telescopic forks and wired spoke rims. We don't know yet exactly what the bike maker is working on. According to my guess, they're working on different platforms under the same segment such as the cruiser, bobber and roadster. All the models are going to be powered by the same 650cc parallel twin motor and I think the motor will be retuned according to the motorbike's nature. According to multiple sources, the bike maker will introduce the number of new models in the present and upcoming years to survive the dust created by it's rivals.
