2 motorbikes which I need back in our markets

There are bucket full of motorcycles which have been discontinued by the manufacturers due to some reason. Some due to the poor sales and others due to the problems created in it. Here in this article, let's see something about 2 motorcycles which lost its track and led to the end path. Like I said previously, each & everyone is customized differently where they have different taste. The purpose of this article is to look at the motorcycles that I missed and had a thought about the re-entry of the machines with its same look and design. So, let's dive into the content.

Bajaj Pulsar AS200
Y'all know that I'm a big fan of the Pulsar range of motorbikes especially of the game changer 220F. I do own a 200NS BS-IV version non-ABS which is re-launched in the year 2017. After inking a agreement in the year 2012 with KTM, Bajaj worked on a motorbike building it from scratch where both the manufacturers used some of the components which is similar to one another. In fact, NS 200's engine is developed after hooking up with KTM only. After launching the motorbike in the year 2012, it gained much attention and everyone started to go after it just like anything especially that yellow color. It became the first motor to be implemented with a triple sparkplug setup in which it improved the combustion efficiency. Bajaj also exported the motorbike to other countries with a fuel injection system. But to make it affordable here in our country, manufacturer used a method of carburetion even though they had a partner. But it's okay for that time. I can understand... Without talking much about the 200NS, let's jump on to the AS.

After seeing a successive path made by the 200NS, manufacturer started to work on the other motorbike which is iterated from the 200NS. Yeah that's the AS 200. By making some changes to the NS200, the manufacturer has managed to launch the adventure version of the same named as 200AS. The addition of a new semi fairing along with the rear fender differentiated the machine from its naked sibling. Its the same thing which happened in our market recently like the CB200X. If the manufacturer implemented or upgraded some hardware in the motorbike or provided as an accessory, it'll make more sense. But anyways.... The motorbike is very much suitable for the long rides and also capable of playing somewhat little at the dust. Definitely I'm talking about the 200AS here.

In the year 2015, the launch of the motorbike took place but I didn't got a chance to test ride it. But, I got a chance of riding its smaller sibling AS160. Design elements of the motorbike remains the same where the motor only differs here. The fairing design attracted me much more I'd say. In the 200NS, if the rear mud guard is removed, the motorbike will be covered with full mud & dust within no matter of time and the mud spreads all over the place which also comes in front of me settling on the fuel tank... Ooof..... But in the case of the AS200, these kind of problems has been neglected by the implementation of extended rear fender which helped very much. But unfortunately, the sales were not good as expected and to promote the AS200 more, Bajaj pulled its plug off the NS200. The sales were not good even though which led its path to the end. Now, I've seen many where they modify their naked NS200 to a faired AS200 with aftermarket parts and spares and others who have gone after the second-hand product of the same. If the motorbike is re-launched, surely it'll sell like anything and competes against its direct rival CB200X.

Hero Splendor Pro Classic
This was the exact same motorcycle which wandered the streets at the same period as the AS200. Hero MotoCorp experimented many motorcycles in our market for example, Impulse, Ignitor etc... Splendor Pro Classic also belongs to one of it. The bike has been designed to give a give a Cafe Racer look & feel and so it does the same. It had a teardrop shaped fuel tank & a single piece seat with rear seat cowl which looked absolutely stunning. The rear hump or cowl whatever you like to call perfectly matched it's lines along with the fuel tank. The manufacturer also completely neglected a option of rear seat where the option of it were also not provided which also became one of the reason for its end.

To improve the value of the motorbike, manufacturer gave chrome finished exhaust shield, front & rear fenders, crash guard, turn indicators, round shaped headlamp along with the turn indicators and the conventional double cradle frame. Clubman handlebar does its job perfectly where it differentiated the riding posture from the normal Splendor. It also had a chrome finished wired spoke rims. The motorbike is filled with the perfect retro elements I'd say. Even though, it failed in the market where it has been discontinued. At the time of its sales, no one felt the value of the motorbike and now, everyone started to go after it in the secondhand market. Most of the normal Splendor has been modified into a Cafe Racer inspired motorbike as we see more videos regarding that on the social media platforms.

All other components are borrowed from the conventional Splendor model. It also provided a decent amount of mileage which everyone expect these days. But, instead of using a horizontal mounted engine like Splendor, if the manufacturer implements other motorbike's engine containing the same design elements and re-launch it, surely it'll catch a separate place at the markets as the 125cc platform is gaining up more heat. I'm one of the few who loved this motorbike both in terms of looks & performance as it also came under the budget segment.
