Inspired from the post war model G2 which is born in the 50s, the all new Royal Enfield Classic 350 stands down as a perfect motorbike with the evergreen retro classic look and with the modern technology underneath the skin. The design elements of the motorbike remembers the past including the teardrop shaped fuel tank, round halogen headlamp assembly, round tail lamp assembly, round rear view mirrors as well as turn indicators, minimal body works, raised handle setup and so on. Color scheme with the addition of chrome elements absolutely remembers the past and helps the motorbike in maintaining its vintage look. Chrome elements are present in both the extended fenders, exhaust pipes and on the tank sides. The manufacturer also provides a option of customizing the motorbike according to our wish which helps very much because, the taste varies from customer to customer. I personally love vintage motorbikes and those who follow my blog posts regularly know that and this made me to wait for the launch of this motorbike very eagerly. I've been waiting to ride this machine since the day of its launch but unfortunately, the motorbike isn't registered which kept me away from riding it. Yesterday, showroom people called me for the test ride and also I did the same. In this post, let's see about my first ride impression and my opinion about the motorbike.
The power at low end is very good but also have short gears as I have to shift to the higher gears very soon. Due to its long stroke, the low end torque is also very good. After changing several gears, the motorbike easily reached the speed of 80kmph without much struggle and also I got a chance of riding the motorbike at above 70kmph for some minutes. It totally felt different and the engine also didn't struggled to propel the vehicle. We don't have to worry about the vibrations here. The engine is smooth once the motorbike reaches the minimal speed in higher gears. But while revving it up, I felt some amount of vibrations on the rider foot pegs and also in the handle. I can't able to say at which rev range it happened because of the absence of a tacho. But my guess is like about 4000rpm. I very much expected a analog tachometer like the 650 twins every time when the manufacturer launches the new model.
Another most anticipated feature in the motorbike is a tripper navigation system for direction assist. It made its presence at this new model. But it seems like the motorbike arriving at the dealerships doesn't get the tripper navigation system. Anyways.... It is available as an accessory. I also felt that the braking action is improved than that of its predecessors. Thanks to the discs which is present at both the ends assisted by dual channel ABS system. I also heard that alloy wheel option is not offered for single channel ABS version of the motorbike. Though I'm very much lean, its easy for me to manoeuvre the motorbike at the turnings and while taking the U turns. At higher speeds, the motorbike is also very much stable and I doesn't felt any lag in building up the power compared to the previous versions.
Taller wind visor helped very much is reducing the windblast and improved the stability. The suspension is also on the softer sides in which it took the bumps smoothly at the greater ease. Rear twin shocks are also 6 step preload adjustable where the riders can able to adjust it according to their wish. As I said previously, the motorbike totally felt different for me not only by the new engine but also due to the new double cradle frame from the Meteor. All the ergo factors gave me the upright position which made me comfortable for the few minutes of riding the motorbike. Rubber grips at the tank helps somewhat in resting our legs and to hold it firmly. I'd say Enfield has made a great job in this new gen of the Classic 350 by refining the overall motorbike and also by adding the new features without disturbing the vintage looks of the motorbike.
This is my first test ride review of a motorbike and your valuable suggestions & comments are very much important for me to improve. I've mentioned many times that I love classic retro inspired motorbikes and this new gen attracted me very much both in terms of looks and performance I'd say. My suggestion is the inclusion of a tachometer helps even very much for the riders. If I missed out anything, please feel free to ping me at the mentioned mail address.

Firstly, I'd like to thank the Jet Blaze Motors for allowing me to test ride their machine. I'll mention the contact number and address of the showroom at the end. Now, let's dive into the motorbike. After swinging my leg around the motorbike, first thing which I've noticed is the switch & toggle controls. The whole switch control is new which is borrowed from the Meteor 350. Hazard light also comes as part of the plan which helps the riders who likes to utilize the motorbike for touring. Another change is in the meter console. Now, it is added with a small LCD dash which displays various info like odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge and also a clock. USB charging socket is also present which is also borrowed from the Meteor 350.
After shifting to 1st gear, when I popped the clutch, it just felt a whole new level. The clutch is on the lighter side and the gear shifts are also smooth. Seat's cushioning also felt soft. Thanks to the redesigned seat and its cushioning. The motorbike felt much smooth which is totally different from the previous models. Surely I have to mention about the engine here. It is a new 349cc, air & oil cooled unit used in the Meteor 350. The frame is also borrowed from the same. The motor is capable of producing 20.2 BHP of power at 6,100rpm and 27Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. This new motor differentiated the motorbike from the previous models both in terms of handling and power. I've already rolled in a previous version of the Classic 350 and while riding this new version, it feels totally different.
