2022 BMW G 310 R & G 310 GS now available with new color options - launch soon

BMW Motorrad has now introduced the next gen of the 310 siblings in our country. With no hike in price, we can expect G 310 R starts from Rs 2.60 lakh and G 310 GS from Rs 3 lakh ex showroom and the bookings are also opened for the same. Both the motorbikes receives no mechanical updates but both the naked and the adventure version gets new color schemes. Naked version received 2 new color schemes. First one is the style passion color scheme in which the both rims and frame comes red in color where the fuel tank, rear quarter body work and the front fender comes white in color with the addition of blue graphics both in tank & its shrouds and in the headlamp cowl.

Other color option is the cosmic black 2 in which the graphic present in the shroud alone is in white color and other than that, the whole motorbike gets a black treatment including the frame, rims and the fuel tank. Fork also gets a golden treatment which looks stunning. On the other hand, the adventure model G 310 GS also received a new color option that is style triple black in which it features a full blacked body work including bash plate, front fender and radiator shrouds. Tank shrouds and rear quarter panels gets silver finish. It also continues the same gold treatment on the forks like its naked sibling.

Engine is a single cylinder, 313cc, reverse inclined, DOHC, LC unit which is capable of producing 34ps of power at 9,250rpm and 28Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. Also the engine is capable of propelling the vehicle up to a top speed of 143kmph and mated to a 6 speed transmission system with slipper clutch. All other chassis components are hooked with a tubular space frame otherwise known as steel trellis.

Front and rear end gets a USD and monoshock which is adjustable for preload, connected to a cast aluminum swingarm. Suspension travel for front & rear is 140 & 131mm and the fuel tank capacity is about 11.1L. Braking duties are handled by a 300mm single disc with radially mounted 4 piston caliper at the front and a 240mm disc with a single piston caliper at the rear assisted by a dual channel ABS system.

It also comes with all LED lightings including headlamp, tail lamp and turn indicators, ride by wire tech and adjustable brake & clutch levers. USB charging socket, luggage rack etc... comes as an accessory. Bash plate in the adventure model looks different from the naked version and also looks purposeful.

G 310 GS also shares the same power source as its naked sibling. Addition of a adventure semi fairing with the integrated front fender differentiates the motorbike from the G 310 R. Everything tends to continue the same as its naked sibling. But if we take a closer look, we can note down some changes. The suspension travel here varies, that is 180mm for both front and rear. Wheelbase of the both also differs that is 1,380mm in naked and 1,420mm in the adventure version.

Rim dimension also varies in both the models. 17" units are used in both the ends at the naked and 19" unit is utilized in the front of the adventure variant. Seat height is 785 and 835mm in the naked and adventure model respectively. Luggage carrier comes as an standard accessory in the adventure version. Instrument cluster is a LCD unit in both the models which displays various info like odo, tacho, trip meters, gear position, engine temperature, remaining range and fuel consumption.
