Now the naked Z900 gets premium components which is also lined up for the launch
This Z900 SE is very much expected from the brand after launching the SE version of the ZH2 last year. Visually there's no change in the motorbike. It tends to continue all the design elements from its predecessor but some of the hardware components has been upgraded for the SE variant. It gets braking components from Brembo and borrows shocks from Ohlins. The motorbike is set to launch in the month of December 2021.
Now, braking duties are handled by dual 300mm Brembo discs along with the radially mounted 4 piston monobloc Brembo calipers at the front and a single 250mm disc with the single piston caliper at the rear. The size remains as the standard variant's and the standard brake pads are also replaced by the Brembo pads along with the steel fluid lines. Other than that, it gets a gold finished USD forks of an diameter of its predecessor as 41mm. But the suspension settings have been revised, where it is fully adjustable instead of only for rebound & preload.
Rear end gets a Ohlins S46 gas charged monoshock with spring preload adjustability & rebound damping which is a same unit implemented on the 2022 Z900RS SE. The motorbike is offered only in one color variant that is metallic spark black along with candy lime green. Rear exposed sub frame, headlamp & engine cowl, fuel tank and rear quarter panel gets green treatment where all other components are blacked out.
Powering the motorbike is a 948cc, inline 4, LC, DOHC motor capable of churning out 125 PS at 9,500rpm and 98.6 Nm of torque at 7,700rpm. Other than that, it is equipped with riding modes, traction control and slipper clutch assist. The manufacturer also claims that the exhaust note has been tuned for more rider engagement. Like I said previously, it'll be available from December starting from Rs 10.91 lakh. But its still not clear that this version will enter our country or not.
