T6X from Tork Motors is about to gain whole lot of attention once again
Pune based EV startup Tork Motors has announced the pre-bookings of the model T6X in the year 2016 itself, which tells us that its one of the company which started to design the e-products before the electric market started to pick up more heat. But, things went silent due to financial problem, operational loss and also due to the ongoing pandemic situation. Coming to the e-motorcycle segment, there are only few offerings from other manufacturers such as RV300 & 400, Prana and others...
Before Ather's launch, this brand is set to be one of the first e-product manufacturer who designed & developed the motorcycle with the help of locally sourced components. Now, founder of the company Kapil Shelke mentioned in his recent Instagram post that "our product is ready to step out of stealth mode and we're ready to provide best in class products to our customers. This took longer than anticipated, but good things do take time". From this we can conclude that, though the product has been delayed, it were still under the development process which gave them a whole lot of time to improve more.
As said previously, they've unveiled a product named T6X back in the year 2016 and this recent post by the founder of the company is also mentioned with a name T6X which concludes that the same product is going to be launched with some modifications to meet the needs of our modern day culture. He also mentioned about the development of axial flux motor which is 96% efficient. Comparing to the conventional BLDC motors which comes under radial flux category, axial flux motors delivers high power density with the simplified motor design.
It is also mentioned that the structure of the motorcycle is completely redesigned also along with the LED headlamp & tail lamp. New switch controls and larger battery pack also comes as part of the plan to produce more power and torque in order to compete against other models in the segment. Back in the year when the motorbike is unveiled, it is capable of covering 100km per single charge and also about doing a top speed of 100kmph. But, as he mentioned, due to change in parameters like battery pack and others, we can expect all parameters with high in numbers to survive the ongoing electric transition. We can expect this machine to make its entry to the markets very soon and also it makes us to wait eagerly for its launch.
