As other countries are already popularized in the electric segment, our country has also started to gain momentum in this segment where manufacturers pushing themselves into this segment to launch the new products. The Swedish manufacturer has now managed to display the E - Pilen concept for the public. Few months back, the manufacturer has teased this concept and now it has been unveiled at the 2021 IAA International Motor Show in Munich, Germany.

This is the first product in the electric segment and if this model become a hit, surely there are also possibilities for electric Duke & RC. According to the manufacturer, the production spec and the design elements of the motorbike at the time of launch will be similar to the one which is displayed as a concept. As we all know, Bajaj Auto & KTM is rolling on a partnership and they're also working on the similar electric platform.

It ranges from 3kW - 10kW by using a 48V system. There are also chances for us to witness a e-scooter under the KTM as they're working on the similar platform. The motorbike's design looks similar to that of the Svartpilen & Vitpilen. Headlamp is circular in shape and it is equipped with a handlebar setup instead of clip-on, exposed frame and also the motorbike looks futuristic. The motorbike also gets a minimalistic body work.

It comes with 3 removable batteries which is arranged inside the fuel tank. For more convenience, several manufacturers including KTM, Honda, Piaggio and Yamaha recently decided to go after the option of swappable batteries. Along with the charging stations, these swapping option would be much helpful to get rid of the range anxiety from people. It'll be well & good if the manufacturer implements the same.

Propelling the motorbike is a motor which is capable of producing power about 8 kW and all together gives the range of coverage about 100kms per single charge which may sounds like very low. But the option of battery swapping and the battery swapping infrastructures will get rid of this problem and its only a concept. Surely there are chances for the manufacturer to vary any parameters before its launch which is expected to happen in the upcoming year.

The parts of the motorbike are expected to be borrowed from the other Duke models. Like its siblings, it gets a USD & monoshock at the front & rear respectively and of course, braking duties are handled by discs at both the ends. The top speed is expected to range somewhere between 100 - 120kmph and after making its global debut, we can expect this model to enter our country which is likely to be manufactured at Bajaj Auto's plant in Pune. This model has been expected for the very long time and the swappable battery option provided by the manufacturer will attract more customers towards it.. Let's see..
