• Benelli India has announced the launch of new quarter liter adventure tourer in the Indian market at a pricetag of Rs 2.51 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Booking are already opened for a token amount of Rs 6,000.
• With its adventure styled fairing and high set front fender, TRK 251 stands down as a heavy competitor in the entry level adventure tourer segment. Handle set-up is raised much and the footpegs are positioned in the center.
• Along with the above mentioned parameters, taller windscreen and cushiony seat gives the rider a upright riding posture. Rear end is equipped with a luggage rack which gives the motorbike a both sporty and also a adventure feel.
• Rear tyre has got a chunky hugger and the exhaust is not very upswept. It is positioned in such a way which makes us to think multiple times before entering a wet surface. Dual pod LED headlamp setup gives the ADV a aggressive look and the turn winkers are neatly fabricated on the radiator shrouds.
• Powering the motorbike is a 249cc, single cylinder, 4V, DOHC motor which churns out 26PS & 21.1Nm of peak power & torque at 9,250rpm & 8,000 respectively. It is paired to a 6 speed gearbox and the motor is water cooled. Rider's seat height comes by 800mm. The motorbike is offered in 3 color schemes such as white, black and grey.
• All the powertrain and chassis components are mounted on a arch bar truck frame and the engine itself acts a stressed member. Coming to the engine safety, it doesn't get any bash plate or sump guard which is much needed for the motorbike's nature. Behind the windscreen, there's a fully digital instrument console.
• The frame is sprung on 41mm inverted forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. Anchoring jobs are handled by 280mm petal type disc rotor at the front and 240mm disc at the rear assisted by dual channel ABS system. Both the end gets 17" 12 spoke alloys and from this we can understand that the motorbike is not meant for hardcore off-roading.
• Fuel tank's capacity is 18L and the bike weighs 164kg which is pretty much decent. At the developing adventurer and off-roading segment, TRK 251 stands down as a heavy competitor against its rivals such as 250 Adventure, Xpulse 200 4V and Himalayan and fills the gap in between it.
