The all new naked Monster from Ducati is ready to wander the streets with its monstrous appearance & notable exhaust sound.
In the process of launching the BS-VI compliant products in our country, now the Italian manufacturer has managed to launch the all new Monster in our country. It is available in two variants that is standard & plus. But, there's only slight difference between both of it which we discuss later. Standard variant starts from Rs 10,99,000 for red color and Rs 11,09,000 for aviator grey & dark stealth. Monster + starts from Rs 11,24,000 for red color and Rs 11,34,000 for other two colors.
Suiting the name Monster, the motorbike contains all the design elements matching the same. It contains a beefy muscular fuel tank along with the raised handlebar setup. With its traditional Monster oval headlamp assembly, the rear quarter panel looks sharp with minimal graphics. Fuel tank is painted with the dual tone color scheme with the Monster badging. Twin upswept exhaust setup adds some more essence to the monstrous look. Oval looking LED setup surrounded by the LED DRL ring also looks fresh. The motorbike is offered in 3 color options that is red, grey and dark stealth. Aviator grey's color scheme also includes red colored alloys.
As I said previously, the motorbike is offered in 2 variants that is standard and +. The only difference is that the + variant gets a short visor and rear seat cowl. Powering the bike is a 937cc 90deg V twin, Testastretta, LC, Desmodromic motor churning out 111hp & 93Nm of torque at 9,250 & 6,500rpm respectively. The whole lot of ponies is controlled by ride by wire system and the engine is paired to a 6 speed gearbox with slipper clutch & quickshifter.
Suspension duties are handled by 43mm USD forks at the front and linkage type preload adjustable monoshock connected to a double sided swingarm. Wheels are 10 spoke light alloy cast wrapped with the Pirelli rubbers. Braking duties are handled by twin 320mm discs with radially mounted 4 piston Brembo calipers with radial master cylinder at the front and 245mm disc with 2 piston Brembo caliper at the rear assisted by cornering ABS function. All together weighs the motorbike about 188kg and the seat height comes with 820mm. Fuel tank's capacity is 14L.
Other electronics includes riding modes, power modes, traction control, wheelie control. Upper triple tree is equipped with the 4.3" TFT color display along with the USB charging socket. As the SuperSport 950, Ducati multimedia system & heated grips are offered as an accessory.
