2022 models of Ducati motorbikes will be revealed by the manufacturer starting from 30th September 2021. As a part, the manufacture will introduce the production version of the all new Scrambler DesertX in the month of December this year. The motorbike first displayed as a concept at EICMA 2019 and also assured that the motorbike will soon hit the production line. But, due to the ongoing pandemic situation, the product has been delayed but it's okay... Only two months to go and the manufacturer will take the wraps off the all new Scrambler.

The motorbike is inspired from Ducati's most iconic model which have completed the 90s Rally Raids like the Paris Dakar. The manufacturer also claims that the motorbike features retro design elements and is being developed to tackle all kinds of terrain and to munch more miles. As said previously, the motorbike made it's first appearance in the year 2019 and lot of changes were done since then. But, the dual circular headlamp with the stunning DRL rings are retained which gives the motorbike a classic Dakar style.

It is said that the major changes were done on the powertrain side. Conventional Scrambler 800cc motor is replaced with the manufacturer's 937cc, LC, Desmo engine which is used in a series of motorbikes including the newly launched SuperSport 950 and Monster. Hypermotard & Multistrada models also tends to use the same unit. The motor is capable of producing about 111hp & 93Nm of peak torque and generally it is paired to a 6 speed transmission system along with the slipper clutch & quickshifter.

Other design elements includes LED headlamp with retro styled fairings & fuel tank with the upswept exhaust. We can expect a long travel suspension to be occupied with a 21" & 18" wheels at the front & rear with Pirelli Rally tyres. Concept model's ground clearance comes about massive 275mm and we can also expect the same in the production model. Overall, the front end of the motorbike attracts me much with its twin ring LEDs. My wish is like it'll be super cool if the manufacturer launches more products like SportClassic which takes us to the past.
