Recently, updated products from Hero MotoCorp were spotted both on-road test as well as in a event. Now, the one & only fully faired motorbike from the manufacturer that is Xtreme 200S is also spotted without any camo at public roads. No visible changes were seen on the spotted version of the motorcycle. But like its siblings, there might be chances for the changes in the internal components.
The spied model is likely to get an updated valve assembly that is 4V system. Few days before, Xpulse 200 is spied testing on a highway with a pillion onboard and with a 4V badging. It's not sure that the spotted model is a prototype or a production ready unit. But it do look like production ready unit. Apart from the changes in the valve train, updated graphics and color schemes were also expected very much.
As we all know, Xpulse 200, Xtreme 200S and Xpulse 200T share the same powertrain components. So, if any changes were made, all the three models will go through it. All the three models are powered by a 199.6cc, oil cooled, 2V motor producing about 17.8bhp of power and 16.45Nm of torque at 8,500 & 6,500rpm respectively. Now with the inclusion of 4V setup, we can expect some increase in power and torque output and also improvement in cruising stability at higher speeds.
It seems like the transmission components will remain the same and so the braking & suspension components. Here, suspension duties will be handled by telescopic forks & monoshock and braking duties by discs at both the ends assisted by single channel ABS. After the launch, it'll compete against the other 200cc machines in this segment such as 220F, 200RS and Gixxer.
