• Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has made a announcement that their 350cc line-up will grow in the upcoming years as the Japanese manufacturer have plans for other models in the same segment to survive.
• Currently in the 250 - 500cc platform, we have H'ness CB350, CB350RS and CB500X. Both the H'ness and RS models received a good response where the 500X failed to catch up the market.
• The bike manufacturer aims to sell about 3 lakh units in the mid range segment in the next 3 years at our country said by Atsushi Ogata, president of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India.
• He also mentioned that soon or later, new lineup will be launched with additional models in their portfolio. With the number of models in the mid range segment, their main internal target is to sell 3 lakh units within 3 years of time.
• As we all know, company's premium offerings including the 350cc products sells under the BigWing showrooms. To boost and improve the sales factor, the company is also planning to expand the presence of BigWing showrooms to outreach more customers.
• It is mentioned that their teams are working hard to consider small towns as well to improve the sales in the form of small branch concept. This is a good move I'd say because due to this BigWing showroom, people fails to notice the models offered and surely this small branch concept helps in boosting the sales of 350cc models.
• It is expected that the new scrambler based motorbike will be launched which is heavily going to be based on the existing 350 platform to rival the upcoming scrambler model from Yezdi and Royal Enfield.
• Rendered image of a CB350 Cafe variant wandered the internet for a very long time and I don't know what takes much time for the manufacturer to introduce the Cafe variant of the existing 350. Once launched, surely it'll become a hit I'd say where everyone started to look after the Cafe Racing and retro culture.
