Upcoming Yezdi Roadking & ADV spotted once again

Increase in testing frequency makes us believe that the launch is not far away.

Upcoming Yezdi Roadking & ADV spotted once again

Few days before, the motorbike believed to be the latest gen Roadking alongside with a ADV looking motorbike has been spotted testing in a heavy camouflage. Again the two models has been spotted testing but this time by exposing extra details. In this article, let's see about both the spied models.

Roadking
As said in the previous post about the spotted models, the motorbike which is expected to be called as the new gen Roadking looks like a Scrambler based motorbike and so it is fabricated with the same design elements. To begin with, it has got a round shaped headlamp unit, teardrop shaped fuel tank, simple & circular tail lamp, mudguard mounted number plate and minimal body works. Wired spoke rims, dual rear shocks and raised handle setup even more improves the retro feel & look. The thing which we have to notice here is the muffler. Last time when the motorbike is spotted, only right side is covered and the exhaust is placed on the same side like any other motorbikes. Now, we can able to see exhaust on the left side too which tells us that the exhaust is placed on both the sides just like other Jawa models. Single piece patterened seat where the rear is raised with no pillion grab rail also boosts the scrambler feel.

Upcoming Yezdi Roadking & ADV spotted once again

To be frank,
I thought it had a twin cylinder motor due to the dual exhaust setup and the exhaust note. After that only I came to know that it was a single cylinder setup and the manufacturer has tuned the motor & exhaust setup for that sweet exhaust note. Coming to the engine, we can expect the same motor from the Standard and Forty two that is a 293cc, LC, DOHC motor producing about 27.33PS of power & 27.02Nm of peak torque. There are also chances for the motor from Perak to be equipped which produces about 30.64PS & 32.74Nm in which both the units are mated to a 6 speed transmission system. Who knows.... There are also chances for the manufacturer to modify the existing engine and tune it according to that for squeezing out more ponies.

ADV
In design wise, it do look like a perfect adventure vehicle but the hardware components utilized are still unknown. It slightly remember us the Himalayan from Royal Enfield. Front wheel is bigger in size compared to the rear and also they are wired spoke units. It also gets a extra raised front fender which is very much welcomed and also necessary. Handle is raised much and the rider seems to posses a upright riding posture. Its not clear that whether it is equipped with a bash plate. Here, unlike other Jawa models, it has got a single upswept exhaust assembly which a ADV should possess.

Design of the tank shroud seems to be not clear. But, clearly we can able to see a luggage rack at the rear. I think it'll be equipped with more powerful engine from Perak and tuned according to the nature of the motorbike where the crispy torque should be felt at the mid-range itself. Though the launch dates are unknown, we can expect the models to be revealed by the end of 2021 and it'll compete against other ADVs in the segment such as RE Himalayan and 390 Adventure.
