Ampere Electric has announced the launch of new e-scooter named Magnus EX. The price starts from Rs 68,999 ex-showroom Pune. The price could go further down if state government's incentives are added. As we all know that petro prices are increasing day by day, this incentives provided by the state government helps to increase the electric transition rate.
The scooter looks simple with minimal body works & graphics. Legroom of the scooter looks decent and the single piece seat gets a step-up treatment. It also gets a LED headlamp along with the chrome treatment in the front body work. Other features includes anti theft alarm system, vehicle finder and keyless entry.
Boot space along with a LED light also looks decent but the capacity is not mentioned. Telescopic forks and single coil spring strut takes care of the suspension duty. Braking duties by drum set-up at both the ends which is linked together and the maximum loading capacity comes about 150kg.
As per ARAI certification, the scooter is capable of covering about 121km per single charge and the manufacturer also provides a 3 year warranty and provides a assurance of after sales support.
The scooter rolls with the help of 1,200watt motor which is powered by a detachable 60V, 38.25Ah advanced Lithium battery. All together assures the range of 121km per charge and the top speed is restricted to 50kmph. The range could also differ in the real world condition.
It takes about 6-7 hours for the battery to be fully charged. It has also got 2 riding modes such as eco and power. By joining all the parameters together, this scooter suits perfect for daily city commuting and for short ride purposes. It is mentioned that it'll take about 4-5 hours for charging the battery upto 70%.
